Dr. Kent Johnson graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. He has been practicing general dentistry in Moberly since 1980 with special consideration in cosmetics. Dr. Johnson is a member of the American Dental Association, the International Association for Orthodontics, the American Orthodontic Society, and the Academy of Cosmetics. He is involved with the American Society of Anesthesiology and serves on the Missouri Dental Board Intravenous Conscious Sedation Committee.

Dr. Johnson has received extensive training at the prestigious Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, Florida which prepares dentists for rehabilitation of complex dental problems.

Dr. Johnson has also studied under one of the nation’s most respected cosmetic dentists, Dr. Rhys Spoor of Seattle, Washington. He has completed the hands-on clinical training for creating perfect smiles utilizing the latest in materials and technology.

Dr. Johnson and his wife Regina have six children and enjoy sailing during rare leisure time. Kent and Regina are also active in their church, helping with youth and couples ministries.

Carl R. Liebhart, DDS joined Dr. Kent Johnson and the Smile Dental Team in Moberly, MO in July, 2011. Dr. Liebhart graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Missouri Dental Association, and The Academy of General Dentistry. In 2006, he graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with Honors in Microbiology, while participating in undergraduate cell biology research. He is a member of the Moberly Rotary Club, Vice President of the Moberly Area Young Professionals, On the Board of Directors for the Randolph Area YMCA, and a member of Moberly’s Trinity United Methodist Church.

Dr. Liebhart takes ten times the state required continuing education every year to advance his studies in all aspects of dentistry, emphasizing in implant placement and rehabilitation of complex dental problems. Dr. Liebhart provides high-quality oral health care to all ages and especially likes treating children. As a recent graduate, Dr. Liebhart is well educated in modern dental techniques including providing them by the most comfortable means.

Dr. Liebhart enjoys the many benefits of Mid-Missouri including the outdoors and agriculture. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and working on his family farm in rural Macon County. Dr. Liebhart was born and raised in Northeast Missouri and attended Kirksville High School. He and his wife, Natasha, enjoy living in the country just outside of Moberly.

Dr. Hutinger grew up in Sedalia, Missouri. He completed his undergraduate degree at Mizzou before attending dental school at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. Dr. Hutinger was hand-selected by faculty to participate in the Honors Oral Surgery Program and graduated with honors in 2013. Following dental school, Dr. Hutinger completed a multi-disciplinary hospital residency at Truman Medical Center in Kansas City. Through the residency, he gained extensive experience in advanced surgical and restorative techniques in, oral surgery, dental implants, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatrics.

Dr. Hutinger is active in the dental community and is committed to staying current on the latest advancements in dentistry. He is an avid participant in continuing dental education and an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association and the Missouri Dental Association. Dr. Hutinger strives to provide the most advanced dental care to patients of all ages in a gentle and compassionate manner.

Prior to joining Dr. Lawson, Dr. Hutinger spent the last three and a half years providing dental care in the communities of Jefferson City and California, MO. During this time, he performed full mouth rehabilitation to children, and individuals with developmental disabilities in the hospital setting. Outside of the profession, Dr. Hutinger is an avid fan of Mizzou sports, Kansas City Chiefs, and St. Louis Cardinals. He also enjoys playing golf, spending time at the lake and riding his bike. He and his wife Krissy “Koehly”, originally from Moberly, are extremely excited to have settled back home in Mid-Missouri and look forward to becoming involved in the community.
